Greg Smith

As Vice-President, Finance, Risk and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Smith is accountable for the financial integrity of the Corporation and performs review and administrative roles related to P3 Canada Fund disbursements including the ongoing monitoring of P3 Canada Fund investments and for ensuring Fund recipients are prepared to manage their long-term contracts.  He also acts as a liaison with the Board of Directors, Department of Finance and central agencies.

As Acting Vice President, Strategy & Organizational Development, Mr. Smith provides expert strategic planning advice to the CEO, the Board of Directors and executive management on governance, programs, knowledge development, processes and relationships, as well as human resources and communications to position PPP Canada for achievement of its mandate and leadership in the P3 field.

Mr. Smith joined PPP Canada in 2009, and has significant experience working with both the public and private sectors in finance. He has previously held positions as Senior Director for the Expenditure Management Sector with Treasury Board Secretariat (2007-2009), as Associate Director General, Director of Programs and Corporate Services for Industry Canada (1999-2007) and as Vice President and General Manager of Nortemp Staffing Services Inc. (1991-1998).

Mr. Smith holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters of Business Administration from Laurentian University and he received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1981.
