Arthur William McMackin currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ganong Bros. Limited, Canada's oldest candy company. Until recently, he served on the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick System Operator, a not-for-profit independent corporation that is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the electrical system in New Brunswick.
Mr. McMackin was a partner and director of the professional services firm KPMG, where his areas of practice included business advisory, income taxation and audits. He is currently the treasurer of the Turnbull Nursing Home Inc. and the Turnbull Home Foundation. His past experience includes President of the Saint John Learning Exchange, the Saint John Human Development Council and Housing Alternatives Inc.
Mr. McMackin attended the University of New Brunswick before entering the accounting profession. He obtained his certified accountant (C.A.) designation in 1964.
